Finished Film

Update

I am still in the process of editing and have added some final touches such as credits at the beginning and have altered the sound. When I first began editing the editing suite did not pick up any of my sound and in the past month it has suddenly picked it all up again. As of this I have had to go through my film again making changes as where before there was no sound now you can hear my voice over the top of the film. This has slowed me down but I should still be finished for the end of next week

First Edit - No Sound

I have edited my film together and am happy with it so far. Watching it myself I realise some editing may need to be tighter, the fight scene also has to be re-edited. After half term I need to take out a camera to record the voice overs and dialogue. Once I have put sound on I can begin to make my final edits.

Editing

Now all my footage is on the editing suite and I have arranged it all in order. I have started basic editing but will need to keep coming back to it and make the editing tighter. The final thing I still need to do is the voice overs

Re-shoots

I have uploaded all my footage onto the editing suite and put all my film together in order although it is still rough. I have realised that I need to re-shoot the first scenes of George walking out of the house and down the alley as there is snow on the ground which has now gone and isn't in the actual mugging scene. I have need to re-shoot a close-up of George which has come out blurry. I also need to re-shoot the scenes of George weightlifting as I did that shot quickly and it is obvious as I have not thought about the mise-en-scene and what is visible in the background.

Finally I need to record the voiceovers of George which narrates the first half of the film. If any other sound does not pick up well I will also need to record them again.

Update

This weekend I am filming the rest of my footage so I can put all my film on the editing suite so I can fully edit it. If everything goes to plan I leave myself with two months to finish editing which is plenty of time.

Editing

Now I have uploaded my footage onto the computer I have begun editing. So far this is the first part of my film however one scene is missing which I will film with the second half. I have begun to to edit it together and started to experiment with using effects and transitions. Watching it back I realise that some of the first scenes needs to be edited tighter so the audience stay interested in it.
